The Boxer Hotel has launched a successful compostable K cups initiative in an effort to decrease single-use plastic consumption and divert waste from landfills. The pods themselves are entirely compostable, and the coffee is sustainably sourced through the Rainforest Alliance, an organization that helps to support local coffee farmers and communities.
The St. Gregory Hotel offers PURE Wellness guest rooms to provide an extra level of protection for those travelers with heightened sensitivity to allergens and normal level impurities in the air. These rooms undergo a 6-step process including a sealed ozone shock treatment, a bacteriostatic shield application to all surfaces, a deep clean sanitation and tea tree oil treatment of the air conditioning and heating unit, microfiber pillow and mattress encasements, and the addition of a class-2 medical air filtration device that consistently removes impurities from the air, making it 99% allergen-free.
