On Friday, July 4, 2025, the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular returns to the Esplanade. Gates open at 12:00 PM; the concert begins at 8:00 PM, featuring the Boston Pops Orchestra under the direction of Keith Lockhart, with special guests and a performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture. The evening concludes with the Mugar Family Fireworks display over the Charles River from 10:30–11:00 PM.
