Celebrate International Cultural Awareness Month with Passport DC 2025, a vibrant, citywide festival running from May 1 to 31. This annual event offers residents and visitors an unparalleled opportunity to experience the rich tapestry of cultures represented in the nation's capital.

Key highlights include:

  • Around the World Embassy Tour (May 3): Over 60 non-European Union embassies open their doors, inviting guests to explore diverse cultures through food, art, music, and interactive experiences. 
  • European Union Open House (May 10): Embassies from EU member states welcome visitors to experience European heritage, traditions, and culinary delights. 
  • International City Food Festival (May 3–4): A culinary celebration featuring global cuisines, performances, and crafts, making cultural diplomacy accessible to all ages. 
  • All Hallows Guild’s Flower Mart (May 3–4): Held at the Washington National Cathedral, this event offers plant sales, children's activities, and the beauty of the International Floral Exhibit. 
  • Fiesta Asia (May 17): A lively street fair celebrating Asian heritage with crafts, performances, and cuisine. 

Throughout the month, various cultural institutions across D.C. will host internationally themed programs, exhibitions, and workshops, all free and open to the public.
